Best if you give more information on truck. Engine size, type would help. How have you tested for spark, with a tester, or spray starting fluid?
My 93 S-10 Blazer did this and I ASSUMED it was OK as far as spark was concerned, because it would hit when I sprayed starting fluid. Wrong... Ended up being ignition module. was firing, but not enough to run. Also, get the fuel pressure checked. "If" yours is a 4.3 Vortec with CPI injection it requires at least 55lbs fuel pressure to start. Could be regulator/spider injection assy. Please advise further information on engine first though so the folks here can help.

4.3 tbi

has spark and will run with starting fluid.
Will ign module from a 94 CPI dist. work in a 93 TBI?

Unsure. Best way to check these things is to go online and compare parts between different vehicles on Advance Auto website or autozone. Easy to use. I find a lot of these parts interchange. I also replaced the coil on mine, so all ignition was new.

I once had a problem with a bad ground on the fuel pump. kinda did the same thing.

What is the fuel pressure when it dies?

Module is the same
verified at rockauto.com
excellent website with great prices.
They ship fast too.
Ordered sending unit (Under $50)and fuel hoses($18) each on tuesday and recieved them on friday.
Unfortunately they only listed 2 of the 5 hoses/lines I ordered 2 of each and modified two of them two replace the tank lines that were rusted through.

I ran truck until it quit then replaced the module. It's been running for over two hours I'll let it run a little longer than road test.

Who da thunk it.
Sure seemed like fuel problem, had spark would fire with starting fluid.
I know the computer depends on a signal from ign mod to switch pump relay but i thought it should have started via prime circuit then died.

Thanks for the help

What is the fuel pressure when it dies?
No idea I don't have a way to hook up my press gauge to the system.
Where would you connect?(TBI system)

There should be a schrader valve somewhere in the back of the engine compartment.

not on a TBI

All engines have a fuel pressure testing valve.

Trace the fuel lines.

All engines have a fuel pressure testing valve.

Trace the fuel lines.

I've only seen test points on vehicles with fuel rails.

And as I've changed all the rusted/pitted fuel lines from tank to throttle body last week, With A/C Delco Lines, I know for a fact that this TBI does not have one.

Can anyone else verify this?
