If you pull the blower out, you will probably find a mouse nest or acorn pieces in it. hizboo 02-20-2005, 01:24 PM what is the blower squrriel cage is there another name for that i have the 1997 expedition repair manual and just want to look up that thanks. dxrflyboy 02-20-2005, 03:56 PM Squirrel cage is just a name for the fan portion of the blower. It is shaped like a hamster exercise wheel. hizboo 02-20-2005, 04:10 PM Squirrel cage is just a name for the fan portion of the blower. It is shaped like a hamster exercise wheel. i am sorry i really don't know much about cars what is the name of the blower that you are talking about if i turn to the back of the book what is the full name that i am looking for the noise sounds like a bzzzzzzzzzzzing sound in the corner of the passenger side it only does it for 5 seconds then stops and ocansionally it does it again so what is the name of the blower and also have you heard of this before. dxrflyboy 02-21-2005, 06:53 AM It's the fan that blows air for the heater & A/C. It's located under the dash behind the glove box. It's common for pieces of debris to get stuck in it and make noise. hizboo 02-23-2005, 10:23 AM It's the fan that blows air for the heater & A/C. I can't see paying more than an hour labor to R & R the blower. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
