i want to know if anyone here has taken the Universal Technical Istitute (UTI) program??? i am sighned up to go to school there in april and i want to know if it is a good program or is it all a waste of time. i looked into a lot and i want to know what you guys think of it. Thanks.

not that this helps u at all but I am also going there starting at the end of august in orlando...

also...my mom works for BMW and I have spoken to the GM and many techs there. The GM says all the top technicians come from UTI and that it is the best automotive training you can get...he said no other automotive program come close.

everyone else in my class thinks its a waste of time....i say its wut u make of it...meaning you put the time in youlll learn...you dont put the time in you dont learn....

also wut campus u gonna go to??? me and hybrid1990cx both go to the Exton, PA campus and i attended the glendale heights campus for a while

I graduated from the Nascar campus in Mooresville, NC. I thuroughly enjoyed it, but i will tell you right now, that you are going to learn alot of stuff you will never use in a dealership atmosphere. I now work for acura making really good money, and i know it was because i had UTI on my resume. It is really awesome training if you take it for what it is worth. I want to eventually open up my own shop, thats when i think the skills i learned from UTI will really some into play. There dealership programs are really worth the time thoug. My friend just graduated from the VW one and started out at $15 and after 3 months will be bumped up to $17...not too bad.
