What do you think of this car??lowandbechromed 02-17-2005, 01:43 PM Hey guys, I havent posted on here in a while, but thought I'd ask the pros....Please Advise! I am looking into buying a '95 LS (133K miles) and it seems to be a pretty nice car. They have all service records from 95. You can see it has had some body work done to it and Carfax shows a fender bender a while back. Apparently, the previous owner (1 lady owner) didnt changed the timing belt and it snapped. So, right now it is getting the whole topend from a '96, new belt, water pump, and cv axle (1). The car looks to be in very good condition, interior is perfect, brand new tires for $4995. So I guess my question is, do you guys think its ok to buy? Is there anything bad about buying a used car that the belt has broke on? I wondered about the pistons and compression. Please help!!! tsugsr 02-17-2005, 04:07 PM as long as there wasnt any piston to valve contact, then I would say its a pretty decent deal, You could prolly easily talk them down a bit on the price. and as long as the engine is put together right it should be just fine, just take it to a mechanic you trust and give him the history of it and get his opinion on it first.
