My 97 K1500 Makes a ticking noise when I turn sharp. It comes from the front driverside tire and it and does it when I turn right. Any ideas? bad68chev 02-16-2005, 10:20 PM Tires Hitting possibly? Stock size tires? Riche 02-16-2005, 11:23 PM maby I should rephrase "sharp" to hard. the strearing does not have to be maxed out to hear the ticking... I just noticed it todaw the tires have been on there for months.... They are stock size 265 I think cdoogles 02-17-2005, 04:47 PM CV joints? That's what I was thinking when I read the original post. Are the CV Boots cracked or broken? //2000CAYukon Riche 02-17-2005, 11:04 PM That is the weirdest part all the boots look OK. I think they a rattling when I hit bumps. Can the boots be ok and the cv's be bad? The ticking noise is new.... GMCMudBogger 02-18-2005, 10:33 AM Yes boots can look good but CV go bad try repacking them with grease and see if that helps-Those shaft are not cheap!
