My truck got tagged!! jeverett 02-16-2005, 12:54 PM
Someone pulling a prank last night on me. Wrote this on my window and paintballed the crap out of the front of the truck. This is really stupid, but the saying is funny to me so I thought I'd share it with y'all. It says "Watch for Pantys" if you can't read it..shame they mispelled panties. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/93396Window-med.JPG jumpingjack66 02-16-2005, 01:01 PM I might have to steel that one for my truck...jj chuck16 02-16-2005, 04:36 PM Goofy but, hilarious and at the same time a pain in the ass. Why kids do these kind of things these days I'll never know. Nice updated profile pic by the way. jumpingjack66 02-16-2005, 06:49 PM Do you think they were Georgia fans?...jj TexasF355F1 02-16-2005, 07:44 PM Any clue as to who did it? One thing writing on your window, but paintballing the front of your truck...that's just wrong. Faze2183 02-16-2005, 09:10 PM thats kinda hotttttttt :naughty: jeverett 02-17-2005, 07:26 AM Any clue as to who did it? One thing writing on your window, but paintballing the front of your truck...that's just wrong. I'm thinking I know who did it. I'm gunna give it a few more days to see if he returns, if not....Revenge is HELL... :evillol: Faze3 02-17-2005, 08:56 AM Hey, at least the paint from the paintballs are non-toxic and wont hurt your paintjob. For revenge, I suggest shrimp in their hubcaps. jeverett 02-17-2005, 09:38 AM Hmmmmm...not a bad idea.. Faze2183 02-17-2005, 01:25 PM why shrimp??? Faze2183 02-17-2005, 01:27 PM i still think the panty thing is hotttttt, you should write the same thing on their car but in like break fluid heh, well thats what id do if anyone touchs my truck heh kenny-1907 02-17-2005, 01:29 PM why shrimp you ask? Well for one , they won't know it is there because it will not make any noise and after a few days in the hot sun , it will start to smell like hell. chuck16 02-17-2005, 02:08 PM Armor-All on the windows is good. Un-noticable until you get inside the vehicle then a bitch to get off the window later.... Faze3 02-17-2005, 02:16 PM why shrimp you ask? Well for one , they won't know it is there because it will not make any noise and after a few days in the hot sun , it will start to smell like hell. Exactly. Plus, its completely harmless. Doesn't one-up the original prank - doesn't move the prank towards the level of malice like putting dogshiat in the fresh air vents or something like that would. If he had access to the vehicle's interior, you could hook the brakepedal to the horn. I saw a video on the 'net not too long ago where someone pulled a prank where they did that. Although that one-ups the prank and can start to spiral this out of control. As for the Armor-All : I imagine you could get this off the windows with Barkeep's Friend or Bon Ami. Having never had it happen to me, I don't know for sure. Toothpaste might take it off too. I know you can take Rain-X off using Barkeep's Friend (at least I've been told as much). jeverett 02-17-2005, 02:54 PM Well get this. I left my truck at the central office to go eat lunch with the administrators. Got back and one of my brand new tires was flat! And whomever it was that let it down, kept the valve cap for a souvenier I guess. I mean hell, that almost makes it obvious it wasnt an accident. Now I dunno who's been doing this. TXAGG05 02-17-2005, 04:30 PM Looks like your case may be getting out of hand. For the record of funny pranks: Surgi-lube or KY on the wipers or the inside of the door handles. That stuff never comes off,....well not never,...but it's a pain. May have to settle for the KY, unless you have access to proffessional first aid equipment. Jeb Silverado Brethern 02-17-2005, 06:28 PM dude, that's crossing the line. get a camera set up inside a window and find out who these pricks are and get them back twice as good! I'm talkin wrap thier vehicle in industrial syran wrap. did that to a kid i know and he said it took him over an hour to get it off. But on a side note, while the truck is at home a garage will prevent any such occurances unless this all happened away from home. silversatan15 02-17-2005, 08:49 PM hey you got some great pics, how can i post mine? Faze2183 02-17-2005, 11:56 PM video tape them hide the cam good though Faze3 02-18-2005, 08:07 AM Looks like your case may be getting out of hand. May have to settle for the KY, unless you have access to proffessional first aid equipment. Jeb We got a guy in highschool once using skunk musk on his door handles. A few drops in their fresh air vents might not be a bad idea either... jeverett 02-18-2005, 09:15 AM Oh yeah. Some good ideas. I might just do all of them, the bastards. After taking my tire to the place where I used to work, looks as if whoever it was poked the tires with an icepick?!? How gay is that??? Nigel215 02-18-2005, 09:28 AM sounds like someones got it out for you... letting out the air is one thing, slashing is another. I say its time to start breakin heads. jeverett 02-18-2005, 10:44 AM I concur. sdrado 02-18-2005, 10:51 AM Sounds to me like it's time to open up a can of whoopass! Faze3 02-18-2005, 10:56 AM Yeah, an icepick to the tire defintely crosses the line. It's time to stop and ask yourself if you've managed to piss anyone off lately. I'd report it to the place you work (you mentioned parking it at the central office) as well as the cops. If you can come up with any names, give 'em to the cops. And definitely set up cameras. Faze2183 02-18-2005, 12:28 PM well he makes me mad all the time, lol jk, good luck man jeverett 02-18-2005, 01:50 PM I shall wreak havoc on someone!!! I had to patch a brand damn new tire...it has 200 miles on it silversatan15 02-19-2005, 10:42 PM well, i guess i wasn't important enough to help out trying to post my pics, so maybe you get what you deserve!!! buttnekked 02-19-2005, 11:27 PM well, i guess i wasn't important enough to help out trying to post my pics, so maybe you get what you deserve!!! Dude, chill. Try the search button or just be patient. NO ONE deserves to have the private property destroyed (ice picked tires etc...) pranks are one thing deliberate damage is totally different. cousincletus 02-20-2005, 01:00 PM Did you notice they removed your Kerry sticker and replaced it with a Bush sticker on your back window? Faze2183 02-21-2005, 02:36 AM any one seen my ice pick??? Faze2183 02-21-2005, 02:38 AM *runs screamin like a little girl from jev* :naughty: dont kill me budone 02-21-2005, 08:10 AM I notice in your 'Tag Line Picture', (view from the side) the rear window also says, 'Watch For" and something written in Blue below it. Going back to 2004 posts it has this. What did it say then????? Just wonderin jeverett 02-21-2005, 11:09 AM The only thing it's said is..Watch for Pantys...lol I believe that's all thats in my window besides my Bush sticker (let em replace with Kerry and die!!) my UGA sticker and my sister's memorial.......Oh yeah..my cousin's paint and body shop sticker :D White Lightening 02-21-2005, 01:17 PM The only thing it's said is..Watch for Pantys...lol I believe that's all thats in my window besides my Bush sticker (let em replace with Kerry and die!!) my UGA sticker and my sister's memorial.......Oh yeah..my cousin's paint and body shop sticker :D Greetings Jeverett, When you 1st started this thread - you indicated it was "cute" and funny. But from the first post - I didn't see the "paintball" activity as either. Firing paintballs is just like hail. It can mar the clear coat - it can scratch the paint - it can dent - it can break or crack glass etc.. And cleaning it off can cause sratches too. The rear window writing "could" have been by a prankster - but the paintballs didn't sound like it. Now the tire. I suggest you start looking at the original source - the window writing. "Watch for Pantys" - and consider it a "hostile" message - not cute or funny or practical joke. Something wife related or girlfriend related (your's or somebody elses) - or something about ego male embarrassment or shame. Also consider how important do you consider your truck? Is the choice of your truck as a target symbolic more than just a random selection to get you? It sounds quite personal and quite directed - not general. They "KNEW" it was a new tire - would be my guess. My guess - your truck is not "just" your transportation vehicle - it "means" something to you (pride, manhood) and that person knows it. You stated "how gay is that". Have you recently insulted someone, embarrassed someone, made someone the butt of mean jokes? Take care - it sounds like things are escalating - and this isn't something to be taken lightly. An icepick is not something the person just "happens to have" in their pocket or hand. And at the central office of your company besides. Its not a crime of convenience. jeverett 02-21-2005, 05:05 PM White Lightning...I agree 100%. I do joke around alot with people, but usually let them know so, and most of the people I hang out with know me and can usually tell if I'm joking or not. I haven't really insulted anyone to the point of making them that mad in quite some time. Haven't been running around with anyone's wife, took anyone's g/f, or anything. Your right though about my truck being more than just transportation. People know how much I like it. I'm very picky when it comes to things like that. All of it was okay until the tire thing. The window chalk washed off easily, as did the paintballs (they were gone when I took the pic, i washed them off that night), so I just took it in stride as a joke and was going to just go along with it. Now, everything's back to normal (I think) so maybe whoever I did piss off has calmed down. I'm not going to try to get the last dig this time. I'm going to let them win. nineball481 02-21-2005, 05:30 PM I'm not going to try to get the last dig this time. I'm going to let them win. That's the sign of the bigger man. Why kids do these kind of things these days I'll never know. Nice updated profile pic by the way. These days? Kids have been doing this kind of stuff since the beginning of time.I done stuff way worse than that when I was a teen, kids get exspelled from school for doing things I used to do on a daily basis. But you grow up (most of us) and see what a little basturd you where. White Lightening 02-22-2005, 11:40 AM White Lightning...I agree 100%. Jeverett, Sounds like the correct attitude to me. Too many times we (guys in general) get into the "braggado" process - and inadvertantly up the ante on ourselves, family, or possessions by some nut who doesn't have "a governor" on his actions to others. Its a whole different thing when you can "see" your problem - but when they are not visible to you - you don't know how big it can become. Hope things get corrected. Even better - I hope you "hear" something or find out who did it - if nothing else - so you get some peace of mind. In the mean time - maybe give that fine looking truck a coat of hand applied wax - just so it knows you aren't one of the "bad humans" LOL. White Lightening White Lightening 02-22-2005, 11:54 AM These days? But you grow up (most of us) and see what a little basturd you where. Greetings Skipr, I agree with much of your post viewpoint - except we do have to recognize that today, young adults do get exposed to a different "theme" than we did in our youth. 25 or 30 years ago - fights with young adults started with words, then escalated to fists, maybe escalating up to a club or broken bottle even escalating up again to a knife. But today - there is a whole grouping of youth out there that never starts with words and fists, never starts with facing their opponent - they "start" with a club from behind - or they "start" with a knife from behind - or they go directly from words to shooting you with the pistol they carry all the time. There are just as many good young adults today as there were 25 or 30 years ago - but we've also got another group that is darker, less aware of personal responsibility, less aware that there are "limits". They just don't have an "emotional governor" on their brain. jeverett 02-22-2005, 12:17 PM In the mean time - maybe give that fine looking truck a coat of hand applied wax - just so it knows you aren't one of the "bad humans" LOL. White Lightening Oh don't worry, it was waxed 2 weeks ago, but will recieve another coat very soon. I found some new wax at a car show that is the easiest stuff in the world to apply and remove and it leaves a shine like none i've ever seen before.....I think its called Perma Seal or something....well worth the money.:iceslolan Faze3 02-22-2005, 03:38 PM That's the sign of the bigger man. " Then again, by then you might just have let it cooled to the point you just don't care anymore. J-Ri 02-22-2005, 04:54 PM Just make sure you KNOW you have the right person before you do anything back, if you would decide to do so. My truck got broken into a couple years ago, and I stayed up to watch my truck all night. I saw a Blazer crawling down my street at 4 in the morning. Of course, I think "that's the bastard that broke into my truck!!!". I chased him down and just about ran him off the road (literally). So I come to find out he's the news paper delivery man. My face just about matched the color of my truck. skipr 02-22-2005, 08:33 PM My favorite qoute (and I can never remember where I heard it from): " Revenge is a dish best served cold. Faze3 02-22-2005, 09:34 PM That is a quote from Khan, "Star Trek 2 -the wraith of Khan" He wanted a piece of Captain Kirks ass. Heh. Reminds me of this website : http://www.khaaan.com/ (It's worksafe) LOL, I never seen Kirk that pissed off before. chevytrucks92 02-23-2005, 02:50 AM Man, it takes a skummy person to do something like that to someone else's vehicle. I wouldn't care how mad I was at someone, I would never take it out on their vehicle. You're probably doing the best thing (by just letting it slide provided it doesn't start back up), but even if it did, I wouldn't take it out on their vehicle. I had a set of park light covers stolen one time, made me madder then two wet hens, lol, so I kind of know how you feel. Its just a shame someone would deliberatly try and ruin a brand new tire though, that's going a little further then just stealing a cover or even paintballing it. Its not like those things are cheap, lol. BTW: You're truck looks better IMO with the 265s instead of the 285s. jeverett 02-23-2005, 07:30 AM BTW: You're truck looks better IMO with the 265s instead of the 285s. Thanks man. Even though I like big tires, I like these better than my old 285's. I also have more power . So far all is cool in the prank world. I'm still waiting though!! Someone kept asking me questions about it the other day which made me suspect he did it, but I didn't say anything or let him know that it even bothered me..... who knows? chevytrucks92 02-23-2005, 12:53 PM Right. Well, the 265s suit those trucks, 285s IMO are just too big without having some kind of lift. Now the 2500HD trucks are a different story, lol. The person asking you the questions could be the guy, but chances are you will never know who is reponsible. Maybe they have it out of their system now. Definitely not something anyone should seek out (no doubt anyone seeing this message will now go look for it). You've been warned. And for the record, I've never ice-picked anyone's tire. I will admit to keying. And only when someone's parked so close to me that they made it impossible for me to get in the driver's side.
