My wifes 1992 Beretta GT has over 230,000 miles on it so far.The only thing is I hear a lot ot ticking from it.The last oil change we put in a Qt.Of Marvells Mystery oil.but it still ticks alittle. I`d like to put another 3.1 in but with a four speed auto.tranny. Has anyone replaced there 3 speed tranny with a 4 speed Auto tranny/ Tom /Wisc. 92 Beretta GT/94 T-Bird 4.6 Getsum3kgtsl 02-25-2005, 03:26 AM I had 242k on a 88 3.1L. Only got rid of it because it got rear ended in 98. I was driving from Memphis to ATL at least 2x a month plus alot of city miles too, even with the rear end screwed up. Most reliable car I've had, no major problems. The only problems i had of the car was the driver side door handle kept breaking. When i got rid of it, it was just starting to have alt. problems. Man i want another beretta. Runs close to perfect. Could use a tune up and I need to fix the air conditioner/heater. I didnt know they were that reliable. Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain. Great cars. I'm getting rid of mine unfortunately but I will be getting another one when I get enough money saved to pour some bucks into a Z26, GTU or GTZ. Probably a Z26. My GT has been great though. Gonna miss the old gal. eeezeegoin76 12-06-2005, 10:24 AM I had a 93 Beretta GT 3.1, sold it 2 years ago with 167,000 miles and it is still going strong,wish I still had it hootymo 01-17-2006, 05:52 AM i have a 1991 with the original 3.1 and original transmission which has 256,000 miles on it, no lie... and there are no oil leaks and the engine still runs beautifully!! i have never owned a beretta before this one, but i have never owned a more reliable long-running car. the interior is pretty much trashed, headliner sagging, seats ripping along the seams, half of the instrument cluster bulbs are out, but the car runs and drives like it was new... i am a beretta guy for life! abilyk 02-02-2006, 02:39 PM My wife's car is a 95 Z26 3100 original with 176,000Km on it and it is a great car. We bought it in 2000 from original owner. Unfortunately we must sell it now to pay for our 4x4. Asking $3500CA. I am in Toronto. Overall a good ride. dependable, some engine leaks and gaskets, alternators, starters, ignition module, brake pads, tires, shocks, yadayada. Swapped in a new motor for $300 and it has 213,000+ now! I only paid $200 for the car to begin with! I just fixed the sagging headliner with some adhesive and the digital dash is still fully funtional. I also have a 95 Beretta Z26 3100 w/ just over 129,000 on it. Excellent mechanical shape and some minor dents and dings on the exterior. musclecarfan6 08-22-2006, 05:26 PM My 90 Beretta GTZ has about 145k miles on it.
