My wifes 1992 Beretta GT has over 230,000 miles on it so far.The only thing is I hear a lot ot ticking from it.The last oil change we put in a Qt.Of Marvells Mystery oil.but it still ticks alittle. I`d like to put another 3.1 in but with a four speed auto.tranny. Has anyone replaced there 3 speed tranny with a 4 speed Auto tranny/

92 Beretta GT/94 T-Bird 4.6

I had 242k on a 88 3.1L. Only got rid of it because it got rear ended in 98. I was driving from Memphis to ATL at least 2x a month plus alot of city miles too, even with the rear end screwed up. Most reliable car I've had, no major problems. Sorry can't help you out on the trans.

My sister has a '90 Beretta GT with a 3.1 V6 and it has 210,000 miles on it and still runs great.

My 95 3100 has 158k + on it and it runs great. I've only owned it since sept but i am the second owner and it still has a ton of get up and go.

I have a 90 indy with 175K... Still runs tops... funnest car I have owned.

I had a 89 GT with the 2.8. When i got rid of it, it had 210k miles. The only problems i had of the car was the driver side door handle kept breaking. When i got rid of it, it was just starting to have alt. problems. Man i want another beretta.

310K on an '88 2.8L...... but not for long.....

you can do it you need tranny flexplate, wiring harness computer( with a 4spd prom chip) shifter linkage and cv shafts. Alot of work!

92 beretta 3.1 v6 just hit 77,000!! it still has a ton of life left

88 GT 2.8 L and she has 154k on her. Runs close to perfect. Could use a tune up and I need to fix the air conditioner/heater. She'll be arond another 100k Im sure.

My '95 Z26 Beretta has 82,xxx miles on it. Shes really in great cosmetic and mechanical condition. I love it.

well i have a 1990 beretta gt...i got it at 102,000 km...after 2 yrs it now has 151,000 km....it's been great..just got the quarterpanels welded on and a new paint job for my xmas present...so happy......

a buddy of mine has a 95 beretta 3.1 with 220,000 miles on it and it has had the life beat out of it since day one and it still runs great doesn't burn any oil ticks a little but most 3.1's do a little of that anyway but either way i am impressed with the beating that car has received and is still coming back for more

Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain. Great cars. I'm getting rid of mine unfortunately but I will be getting another one when I get enough money saved to pour some bucks into a Z26, GTU or GTZ. Probably a Z26. My GT has been great though. Gonna miss the old gal.

I had a 93 Beretta GT 3.1, sold it 2 years ago with 167,000 miles and it is still going strong,wish I still had it

i have a 1991 with the original 3.1 and original transmission which has 256,000 miles on it, no lie... and there are no oil leaks and the engine still runs beautifully!! i have never owned a beretta before this one, but i have never owned a more reliable long-running car. the interior is pretty much trashed, headliner sagging, seats ripping along the seams, half of the instrument cluster bulbs are out, but the car runs and drives like it was new... i am a beretta guy for life!

I got 137,000 on my 92 Beretta. Overall a good ride. dependable, some engine leaks and gaskets, alternators, starters, ignition module, brake pads, tires, shocks, yadayada.

I sold my 1990 with a 3.1 5 years ago(well the motor i totalled the car)But it had 140,000 on it and is still running today with closer to 200,000.I have had my 95 z26 ever since and have 120,000 on it runs great and still get 32mpg on the highway.

on my 91 gtz i got 100k its a 5 speed its fast lil fucker for sale 2500 or best

i think i have the lowest mine is a 92 with 72000 miles on it i just picked it up for $500 us

btw the standard trany for the 3.1L is the 4t60e which is a 4spd, if i remember correctly people have swapped them out with the 4L65e trany which is better geared but much heavier... enjoy

The standard tranny for a 3.1L is a 3 speed auto, not a 4 speed auto. The 3100 (also 3.1 liters in displacement but not refered to as a 3.1) came standard with the 4 speed auto. 88-93 I believe had the 3.1 with 3 speed auto and 94-96 had the 3100 with the 4 speed auto

I got an 89 Beretta GT w/ 2.8L that had 195,000+ when the original engine died (lost oil pressure). Swapped in a new motor for $300 and it has 213,000+ now! I only paid $200 for the car to begin with! I just fixed the sagging headliner with some adhesive and the digital dash is still fully funtional. I also have a 95 Beretta Z26 3100 w/ just over 129,000 on it. Excellent mechanical shape and some minor dents and dings on the exterior.

My 90 Beretta GTZ has about 145k miles on it. I just wreacked it and now I am fixing it.

i have a 94 beretta z26 it just turn over to 288,000kms and it still runs amazing it's so quiet but my tranny slips when i step on the gas and i don't know why.

90 GT has 145,000 miles 3.1 reminds me of my 66 mustang I had in the late 70s. gets up and goes.Still in good shape.A possible classic?

My old yellow indy hade 355000 miles on it and still going untill i sold it and the guy screwed it up and caused an electrical fire.....RIP now it junk yard.
