I live near San Jose, California and am interested in reputable, local repair shops so I can spend less with the Acura dealerships here. I have a 1990 Acura Legend.

Any recommendations? Horror stories?

Btw, my current need is to get a smog check for my February registration, but my Check Engine lamp comes on now and then and I suspect I'll need some emissions repair before I take it in to test.

Thoughts?
