After changing front and rear brakes, brake pedal felt soft and sometimes seemed to go to floor. Tried to bleed brakes and found no brake fluid going to 1 front and 1 rear brake. took lines loose at master cylinder fluid comes out of two and nothing out of other 2 lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had a similar problem that you describe with the brakes on my '90 Buick Lesabre that I replaced last fall. I had to replace all the lines from the master cylinder to each caliper/wheel cylinder. I was able to solve the problem, and the following link may be of some help to you. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=323685 I don't know how similar the brake system design is to these two vehicles, as they are only 7 years apart. Maybe the procedure I outlined in the link will also work on the Venture.

did you loose any fluid at the caliper or wheel cylinder. did the master go low on fluid. I would try to bleed the master on the vehicle or even bench bleeding before I change out the lines. did the piston pop out the rear wheel cyl?

no fluid lost. rechecked front and back brakes for leakage everything looks good. took lines loose from mastercyclinder fluid only comes out of 1 of 4 lines. tried to bleed master cylinder from bleeder screws on master cylinder still no progress. purchased an obdII scanner from advice from part store said it would tell me what's wrong. unless I'm doing it wrong it says nothing about brakes but does say something about a ma4 error or something cleared code and has not returned but still no brakes except left front wheel.

Thanks, tried what you said about the safety switch, but still no brakes, just left front

if you bleed it properly and air still coming out I would replace it by now
