92 econoline 351 v8 need help

my van idles really fast ..alot.. but not every time i have it running but most of the time ... seems to idle very fast sometimes and other times it idles like it is supossed too... can anyone tell me how to fix this??? is it a sensor or is something broke???

From what I have seen elsewhere in this forum, the cause may be the throttle position sensor, which may be under the throttle body on the upper intake manifold, depending on your vehicle. It is a $50 part?
I realize your posting is somewhat old, but other people may have similar problems.
