what is wrong with some car drivers nowadays??? this is getting so damn irritating. i had an 2nd integra try to race me on the freeway. did he think he was going to win??? it was the ls model, but i don't care if it even was the gs-r model, he is not going to win. what he doesn't know is that i too have a 2nd at home :disappoin. he was starting to get annoying especially when we got off the freeway and onto the traffic roads, again, did he think he was going to win from a stop??? i have no problems with integs or their drivers, but this guy... so i later split lanes and left his a$$ behind. :loser:

yeah right dude my teg is so fast i could beat any bike my shit is untuned half primered with vinal grafix for aerodinamics and i got the universal muffler you know the one that gives you the extra 78.5 hp to the wheels. lol. but seriously i love my teg and i like to play around when im driving but i know if its a bike chances are im not gonna win specialy if its a busa. damn i want a bike. he probly just wanted to see you get on it. i love the sound of a bike goin through the gears.

I think a lot of people would want to race a bike, not because they think they can win, but it's always fun to see a bike rocket off and pull a wheelie going 100+

ok, thanks for letting me understand guys with ur guy's point of view. :icon16: here was how i look at it, if a mclaren f1 pulls up right next to u, would u want to race it? i wouldn't hope so, hehe. just to put out some numbers, my 97 gixxer 750 does the 1/4 mile in about 10.54 secs. stock, thats faster than a mclaren f1 :icon16:

IF a mclaren f1 pulled up next to me youd bet your ass id try to race him, just for shits and giggles, i know id lose but it would be damn fun to see him run through the gears, just like i sometimes do to bikes, its just cool to watch.

10.54 is the stock time for my gixxer. this is my first starter bike so i didn't put anything in it, but the original owner put in a yoshimura exhaust and a k&n filter. hopefully by next year, i'll have enough for my upgrade, a 2005 cbr 1000rr repsol replica :smokin: . anyways bro if u got anymore questions, im me or hit me up in the bike forums, this is getting out of the integ topic.

so y would someone spend the money for the 1300 when the 750 is less than a half second slower? i would think there would be a bigger difference the 1300 is almost twice as big. my dream bike is a ducati 999rr but i love the cbr's too im gonna try to buy one this summer.

Bigger engines make bigger torque. Most new 600s are only a tick slower in the 1/4 than my ZRX (with equal riders aboard). But my ZRX is a brute down low compared to a 600. That, and half a second is quite a bit when you're talking 1/4 mile times. It takes big HP gains to drop .5 seconds. And the gains required get bigger the faster (mph) you go. Give me a big bore baby!!

Current crop of liter bikes put same 1/4 mile numbers as a BUSA, given the right conditions, weight, and riders on board. But 1/4 mile time is very limited to judge a sportbike in any means. After the 1/4 mile period is over, the BUSA has the capability to pull further and faster than the liters in a straightline drag. But when you throw in twist and turns, then you're talking about sportbike limits. But a Hayabusa is a sportourer, not a race rep sportbike, so it's not even in the same league.

it appears the other guys answered ur question already. personally, i would never buy a ducati unless some one is selling it equal or less than a jap bike counterpart. a cbr 1000rr which is the same displacement as the 999rr is not only faster in the 1/4 mile, but also top end, better on the track, cost a lot less, and parts will be more affordable. kinda lame if u ask me, just because it's from italy thats it's considered "exotic".

Im late here but hell yeah Id race the mclaren, I wouldnt even dream of winning but if you dont try and race him this though will never pop up in his mind. "I should just drop this stupid kid in his honda next to me and show him whats up" and I love to see that. when I had my R1, EVERYONE always made hand signals or yelled out the windows for me to ride a wheelie or to just hammer the throttle form the light... its just exciting to see. never got it to the track but I saw a GSXR1000 and a busa and they raced side by side everytime cuz they were the only 2 sport bikes and the liter always took the busa but barely and I dont know how eithers driving was but they were both LOW 10's.

i'll stay with my CBR 600, and maybe one day have my busa. i just don't see spending $10,000 on a bike right now.

if i'm at the lights next to a BMW M3 or Ferrari i'll definately run full on but with shitboxes, i like to play.

like leaving it in 1st and sit next to them at the same speed, wait till they've already got to 3rd gear (130k's or 75mph)and then snap second and give it full throttle. leaves them wondering what the f$%^ just happened.

It's kinda funny, but my mitsubishi GS-T is almost as fast as my CBR600. My girl (she's a rider to) wanted to race her car and see if it could beat the bike. I said, let's do it. It was very very close. I built that car from the bottom up, so it's pretty fast anyway (turbo). I need to work on that bike.

i've been beaten by a GSR before while on my gixer. not straight line speed but in roundabouts and speed bumps. he took me around the outside on a roundabout and thats when we started.

also since cburke loves hondas, a mate of mine has a 85 civic with a vtec 1600. pulls high 11's on his best run but constant mid 12's. non turbo. the thing looks like its worth $100. black aluminium bonnet, no interior, plastic rear window, no moldings and shit wheels from the 70's that should be on a rear wheel drive. if you saw it you wouldn't even bother to run it thinking what a shitbox it is.

Actually, the 03-04 CBR600RR did 10.78, and 04 Gix 600 did 10.65, 04 Gix 750 did 10.34.

Honda F3s are capable of doing mid 11s with good rider. All stock.

Well maybe my CBR is kinda beat? It has like 35,000 miles on it. My mitsu is very tuned and very fast. i have never ran it at the track yet. I just got done working on it like a mounth ago. Mybe my CBR is just slow. My boy GSXR 600 is way faster then mine. I need to tune that damn bike. It's just so hard to get to anything. Just to change the plugs i have to every take off the radiator or get skinner hands.

Unless your Mitsu is running 11s, I doubt your F3 is any slower. I think it probably needs some major maintenance, previous owners probably didn't take care of it much if you're claiming the bike is running slow. $35K isn't much for the engine unless it's abused, it's probably the other things that are wearing down. If you pinpoint the problems, you can get it running back again. As for the unreachable plugs, it's the same with mine, you have to get one of those swivelling extended sockets to get it out. And yeah, unscrewing the radiator helps.

Yeah but damn that sucks. Undo the radiator just for that, but i know it need's to be done. The guy that had the bike before me did drive it hard. He was a stunt head, and shifting wheelies in the air can't be good.
