my 1996 explorer has a miss in the engine. changing the plugs offers a temporary fix for about 6k miles then the miss comes back. it happends most often going uphill in low RMP situations when the transmission is about to change gears. please help....i have allready spent alot of money on things that havent helped

have you had the codes read. Sounds like maybe the EGR or something in that field of many parts might be bad. Ist have the codes read.

I had an identical problem with 94 Ranger. I changed plugs and wires with no effect. I finally decided to change the coil pack. That fixed it. I suspect it was breaking down and crossfiring when under a load.
