antifreeze smell

Please help...I just got my Chevy Ventura out of the shop being repaired for leaking intake. I have less than a month warranty left on it. Now, I smell antifreeze after I park it, do not see any leaks under the van, and the temperature gauge goes half way over to hot. It didn't do this before the repair to the intake, not that that has anything to do with it. This past Monday, I filled the plastic resouviour up with coolant and today, I noticed it was empty again. FYI, I just bought this van and it came with a 30-day/1,000 mile warranty. It runs good, but doesn't seem to run quite as well as it did before. I have a feeling that the head gasket(s) are leaking. What do you think??

Thanx....

I would take it back they might have not even fixed anything just said they did to get you out of their face, Take it bad and get it fixed watch them if you have to. Dont let the warranty expire or your looking at a $500 bill

They may have fixed the gasket but didn't vent the air out of the cooling system correctly, and now you have an air trap inside the engine. Other posts have mentioned this problem after replacing the gasket. Take it back right away, before you do damage to the engine, this is serious stuff.
