I noticed a rattling noise when my wife drove her truck today,Thought the transmission was going out.As she was driving today she said it ran but would only go about 15 m.p.h.When i got home from work tonight i started the truck and noticed the flowmaster exhaust was restricted,Found it to be the catalytic converter was collapsed. This converter has been on the truck for about 2 years.I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about aftermarket converters.I paid $200.00 for this one and at the dealership they are $600.00.Need to fix it tomorrow.

That's what I did. I pulled the pipe out of the back of the converter, and beat the shit out of the insides with a fireplace poker, and broke it up into a bunch of pieces. I started the truck a couple of times in between to kick the loose pieces out, and then I'd repeat the process of poking the insides. When I was done I put the pipe back and clamped it up. That's it.
