How do you take the cat off of an 83 2.8L?

How do you take the cat off of an 83 2.8L? It seems that it is bolted to half of the frame.

Me, what i would do to take the cat converter off, is just torch, use a sawzall or something and just cut the exhaust off right before it.....lol....

id second that, its how i took mine off, if u have oxy acetalyne torches even better just be careful of the frame, a torch cuts alot faster than a saw

sawzall or plazma cutter, i wouldnt do oxy accediene because i dont like fire while im under the vehical, then a piece of pipe and some clamps, if you have a mig or tig welder, weld on test pipe
