I am just pushing 13psi on my stock t25.

Well with your mods i would have to say yes you should be able to beat both of those cars if you are a good driver, race them and find out. It should still be a close race though.

I'm not too familiar with 3000gt sl's but I would expect is to be a pretty easy race if you don't mess up. You probably have 200whp respectively, and if i'm not mistaken the talons are lighter then the sl. Not sure about a vr6 but I'd probably give that race to you as well.

Yeah man, I'm not too familiar with the VW, but I'm 99% sure you'll take the SL. The Talon should be pretty darn quick with those mods. Take it to the track sometime, see what you pull.

I'd say if you can take the 3kGT, then you can definitely take the GTI. The 3KGT is faster than the GTI. I've raced stock Mid 90's GTI VR6's in my Civic, and honestly they put a descent fight for me, but I have like 140 HP. I get whooped on pretty easily by those 3K's though. So once again, if you can take the 3kGT, then the GTI should be no problem.

Sounds like you have a good set of mods to help you there. But one thing, I used to have one of those Venom 400's and they don't do you diddly. Get rid of it, and instead, just put the peddle to the metal. Ebay it, make some money back, and put it to better use. L8...

Modded Talon vs. 3KGT will be a close race but you'll probably win if you're skilled enough. Golf VR6 will be a walk in the park if it's stock. Modded ones are the ones you gotta watch out for.

there's no walk in the park with a vr6 and not with the sl

the sl is not very heavy at all, aprox 3200lbs it wieghs. there's a whole sh!t load of cars heavier than that. thats about he wieght of a c5 corvette

anyway to answer your question, yes you should be able to run the both fairly easily. but one mistake on your part and that vr6 or sl is gone!

3kgt sl 222hp at 3200lbs

the vr6 is equivalent to the 3000gt sl

mid to low 15's

A 1995 GTI VR6 has 170 BHP. That's why it won't be very much of a contest for him. They're a very good match for my civic with the BPU's. L8...

t28 killer is my next turbo. (360hp at 21psi)

The reason for me asking this is that the guy (95 gti vr6) claimed that he killed a 2g gsx. He told me that he cought up and beat him at 60mph.(from stop)
he also claimed that he killed WRX same way. :rolleyes: I thing it's b.s. becouse when he was trying to catch up with 3000gt, he could not.( wasn't racing him, just tried to catch up)they are about even. He also was kind enough to let me drive his vr6 and i felt thet my car had more power. Did not tell him thet just played dumm. :smile: When i see them again i will make sure to race them. :biggrin:

I'd bet on you if they're both within $500 of stock. If your realy worried, practice is the best mod. Lol I also love the fact that it seems that the 3000GT guys are the only ones who tell the truth when somone asks about this kind of thing about their car, go us lol.

I was talking about the older VR6 GTI. I know that the newer ones are a lot better. If he was racing a MKIV GTI VR6, then it would be one hell of a close race. The new Golfs are fast as hell! I wish I had one to match the Jetta...

Its ok, everyone thinks theyre heavy, if more people knew how they realy are they wouldent race :).

I've never raced one before, so I definitely wouldn't know. There's a wicked black VR-4 in town but I don't think he races...

you should be able to beat both, for sure the vr6 as its slower than the 1.8T, which is pretty even with a stock turbo dsm.
