Taurus head gasket repairdickdowd 02-10-2005, 05:11 PM I am looking at buying a 1995 Taurus in good condition for $650, with 96,000 miles. The problem is that it leaks water at the head gasket joint. I have done valve jobs before and have reasonable experience and all the tools. The problem is that the V-6's seem a little more difficult. Question is: is this something I can do in my garage? and if I have to take it to a garage, about what would it cost (Metroplex, Texas) Dick illegal_op 02-10-2005, 05:41 PM head gasket repair can be very expensive $600 and up. If you are a very handy mec. you could do it but it is a pain in the butt. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
