is this right for temperature (pics) aznstealthsnake 02-10-2005, 01:29 AM
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/xdjaystormx/retemphigh.jpg this is the highest it gets then it goes down to this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/xdjaystormx/retemplow.jpg Knifeblade_03 02-10-2005, 10:17 AM Seems high. Does your fan come on okay? It should come on at the halfway point on the guage [generally]. Two other standard fixes are check the thermostat for opening, and coolant flush-fill. Classicrocjunkie 02-10-2005, 10:26 AM Same thing mine does. My fan turns on where your pic shows it to be high and drops a little below 1/2. I think it is ok. Frank G 02-10-2005, 11:57 AM My 97 2.2L Cavalier does fluctuate from those 2 ranges, actually mine even gets a little hotter then that, when sitting in traffic or idleing for a few minutes. It has never redlined but has moved a little past yours. I have always been a little concerned over it, especially now that lil Cav has just over 110,000 miles and am very concerned about losing my head gasket.
