I Have A 95, It Will Not Start Up At All. I Noticed That The Security Light Stays On Instead Of Blinking Like It Normaly Does. Is My Car In Protect Mode? Do I Need To Take It To The Dealer To Have Them Reset The Computer. Also I Noticed That If I Try To Put It In Gear It Wont Go Past Neutral. Could My Neutral Safety Switch Be Whats Keeping My Car From Starting?

If the security light stays on, then I highly doubt that the neutral saftey switch is invloded. My 02 has a secuirty chip built in it that sends a bunch of info to the secuirty system when it starts up. Did the 95 cars have passkey? If they did, and there is an exposed resister pellet on the key, they the problem might be with the key itself. Try cleaning the key. If that doesn't work then you'll probably have to go to the dealship to get a new one.

Followup... PassKey is a good idea...in theory. In reality though it is a pain in the butt. Hell, if your key decides to stop transmitting info to the car when you are in a hurry to get to the hospital, what would you do then?
