Slave Cylinder line - How does it come off?

Hi, I'm replacing the clutch and possibly the slave cylinder in my 1997 2.2l s10. It has the nv1500 and I'm trying to get the slave cylinder line off to drop the tranny. It has a disconnect thing and this is what autozone says to do.

On models equipped with the NVG transmission, detach the hydraulic clutch quick-connect from the concentric slave cylinder following 1 of the 2 steps:

1.Use 2 small prytools at 180 degrees from each other to depress the white plastic sleeve on the quick connect to separate the clutch line from the concentric slave cylinder quick connect.
2.Use special tool J-36221 to depress the white plastic sleeve on the quick connect to separate the clutch line end from the concentric slave cylinder quick connect.

I can not figure out how to get the line off. I pulled the white plastic piece out and it will not pull out, or push in and then pull out. I tried rotating it slightly and still nothing?

Any clues anyone?
Thanks

Well I figured it out, You have to push the white collar in there pretty hard and it kinda pops out. Kinda stupid but I got it. Next to take the tranny off and see whats messed up.
