Front Diffrential 99 Jimmy SLTjtuck53 02-07-2005, 11:20 PM I had a grinding sound at 30 to 40 MPH. Fist Mechanic said right wheel hub assy ($160.). NO help. second said lower ball joints replaced uppers and lowers ($150.) NO help. Third said pinion bearing. Took it in to dealer they want to replace the whole front drive line at a $2,500. bill. Any one else had these problem? I thinking pull the diff and take it to a good drive line shop and see if it is rebuildable. BlazerLT 02-08-2005, 03:48 AM I had a grinding sound at 30 to 40 MPH.
