Low Brake Pedal on 2001

I recently purchased a 2001 limited with 17,000 miles. The brake pedal is low. I've bled the all four calibers but the pedal is slill low. If pumped, the pedal rises to an acceptable level. Still acts like there is air in the line(s). The previous owner said the power brake unit was replaced by GM.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help![/B]

If the rear wheels have drum brakes, they might be the problem. The automatic adjusters are likely stuck, or the pads low.

I should have mentioned but it has four wheel disk brakes (ABS). Based on my knowledge there is no pedal adjustment that can be made on 4 wheel disk brake setups.

In that case, I would find a way to test that the ABS control module (the copmuter that controls the ABS system, not sure the official name) is working properly. The sensors on the wheels might be having an issue.

You might also have bad calipers on one or more wheels. Not likely, but possible.
