01 Jimmy, P0440 codewz2wj1 02-05-2005, 09:47 PM I have a P0440 code that keeps turning on my check engine light. Car runs fine, but how do you fix this problem. something to do with the evap canister. I also use to have a P-0410 code but that doesn't show up any more. I recently replaced gas cap and fuel pump. After fuel pump replacement is when the p0440 code came on and the P0410 code stopped. I have the 4.3 with 48,000 miles on it. Even with check engine light on cars runs fine. I have it reset and comes back on in a couple of days usually. thanks for any help \george BlazerLT 02-08-2005, 03:56 AM Try a search in here or the blazer forum for more information and solutions. wz2wj1 02-10-2005, 04:33 PM Did a search in the blazer forum and found a similar problem with a solution thanks. When i went to test my vacuum switch i found that one of the vacuum hoses was not fully seated. I pushed it al the way on and tested the switch as described in the other forum. So far so good 2 days no code. if it does come back on i'll try replacing the switch. It's only 20.00. thanks BlazerLT 02-10-2005, 04:35 PM Excellent, you found the problem. If it does come back, I would replace it and maybe cut the vacuum hose back a bit so it can make a nice tight connection with the actuator. wz2wj1 02-12-2005, 06:42 PM Excellent, you found the problem. And the light has not come back on yet. got my fingers crossed vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
