already replaced the map sensor. the truck warms up then the gauge drops to almost zero, then the idle picks up and then the gauge goes normal. could there be a vaccum problem?

No, you need to do some maintanence and get your idle under control.
Your oil pressure is tied into your engine rpms.

could be your oil pressure sensor. I have a 1988 s-10 blazer 4.3 that was doing the same thing. It was also showing code 33. This solved my prob.

I have the opposite, mine reads on the 80, which is high.
It has always shown that for years. I have tried all different weights of oil.
1991 Chevy s-10, v6 4.3l
Any suggestion on that one?
THanks
