I have a 1998 chevy venture, I purchased from some idiot that lied about every thing that was wrong with it... I am having a problem with the power sliding door. First of all I just noticed today that the panic button, and the aux button (which is supposed to open the power door) dosen't work. It has a remote starter, and power locks on it. You have to push the lock and unlock button at the same time to remote start it. and the lock and unlock buttons by them selves work, but the aux button and the panic button do not. Is it possible that when they added the remote start they did some wiring wrong??? this idiot that I bought it from Is the manager of a company that installs these things, and Dvd players in cars (dont get me started on that!!). anyway shouldnt he have gotten it right. Maybe that is why my power door wont open?? It closes with the button above the console, but will not open. Also will not close or open with the remote. Is it possible when he installed the remote start he disconnected something on the power sliding door. I am really in a pickle, We used all our tax refund to purchase this vehicle, and already have had to have a tuneup, and several other things go wrong. I really need some help :banghead: :uhoh:

Well, these GM systems are notorious for having all kinds of problems with the doors. I can't see why the owner of a shop would have his car all bugered up. My bet would be with the car being at fault. You stated that it will work with the buttons in the car but that's it? Unless he's got something grounded out, I can't see why it won't work properly. Are you pressing the AUX for 4 seconds? I know there is a time delay for that.

It will close with the button on the car, but not open. I havent tried holding the button for 4 seconds, but I will try. thanks alot.

Is there any test to see why the door wont open, to see if it is grounded out?? :banghead:
