check engine light came on when i turned 50,000 miles on my 2001 rodeo. is this a factory thing to bring in for ibspection or something? amigo-2k 02-03-2005, 03:50 PM nope it is not factory. Head to autozone to get it read for free. Most comon cause for CEL is a loose gas cap.
