ok i have a 1995 4cyl corsica, im having problems starting the car now, as in it wont turn over. I put the key in turn and nothing except all the electronics come on and lights all work fine, but i get nothing else no clicking, no trying to turn but dont, just dead air. Ive already taken the starter and sylonoid off to be tested at autozone and it checked out fine acorrding to the guy there. Also i know my battery is good, altenator is good, serpantine belt is newer and still entact, um plugs an wires are only a few months old. Now my question is what else could it be?

could be your ignition switch...cheapest thing to start with.

ok thanks ill look into that, also this is not the first time its done this its a couple of times before and we found that by running a wire from the battery terminal to the sylonoid would make the starter kick on and we would disconnect and u could get in turn the key and everything would run fine but now it wont work doing that method either, this was a method in my repair manual haynes i think, anyways if that helps shed anymore light then there ya go. anyone else have any other ideas while i investigate the ignition switch?

also something else it did a short time back was while i was out driving, for oh i guess about a half hour nonstop, when i came to a signal an had to stop, well it then stuttered to a stop and shut off. I could immediatly start it back up but as soon as i put it in gear to go it just died again, it would do that a couple times and then it would just pick up an go again.

ok got the starter put back in today and it started up just fine, wierd huh? Well anyways talked to a mechanic today and he said he doubts its the ingnition switch. Also it did the stall again tonight after a bit of driving and when i came to a red light. Could this possibly be from a dirty fuel filter or the ignition coils going bad?
