i was wondering if anyone has replaced this part and if you have to take the steering wheel off, its a 95 corsica and the switch is on the left side of the dash near the drivers side door?

You won't need to pull the wheel. I changed the switch in my 95 in about 30 minutes, start to finish. Here's a good set of instructions from the web (1991-96 Corsica):

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Remove the instrument cluster bezel/trim panel.

Squeeze the small knob at the side and pull it straight out.

Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the slots adjacent to the center of the inner knob to disengage the knob from the switch.

Unfasten the screws attaching the headlight switch to the bezel.

Remove the switch from the vehicle.

To install:

Install the switch to the bezel. Install the attaching screws.

Position the inner knob on the switch. Ensure the tabs are lined up with the slots and press to secure the knob.

Position the outer knob on the switch and align the D-shaped hole in the knob to the shaft on the switch and press to secure the knob.

Install the instrument cluster bezel.

Connect the negative battery cable.
