throttle body port and polish GotZ24 02-02-2005, 07:45 PM
i was wanting to port and polish my throttle body, actually i was gonna pick up one from a junkyard and do it to that one, and was wondering what to do about the butterfly valve. i was thinkin 59mm port. are there any 59mm butterfly valves i could replace mine with, or would i have to make my own 59mm plate? also, anyone know where i could find a bumper extension/ground effects for my 02 Z24? GM wants $200 for one! Knifeblade_03 02-04-2005, 12:43 AM No clue on the TB work, but check out J.C. Whitney for ground-effects packages. noshun 02-05-2005, 01:12 PM i was wanting to port and polish my throttle body, actually i was gonna pick up one from a junkyard and do it to that one, and was wondering what to do about the butterfly valve. i was thinkin 59mm port. are there any 59mm butterfly valves i could replace mine with, or would i have to make my own 59mm plate? also, anyone know where i could find a bumper extension/ground effects for my 02 Z24? You can stick one and and just polish the inside but nt remove too much material. You can port a TB. This is where you enlarge the ports on the head or manifolds. Your best bet is to take some Vernier Calipers to the wreckers and just look around. You may ewant a few butterfly's in case the one you get doesn't match up.
