Does any one have a store part number for the Moog idler arm, and I don't mean K9500.

I have been to Napa and said they don't sell Moog.
I went to Auto zone and said sure we sell them, and pointed to a stand of mugs!

I know Todd bought his from Autozone but the idiots down here have never heard of Moog.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Richard

Insert that part number at www.rockauto.com and it coughs up the Moog arm @ $58.95

That is part of my problem. The k9500 is not the part I am after, this is their picture

but it is different than the one that Todd has bought.

MOO K9500 is correct. The NAPA part is not MOOG.

Can't find the receipt but I am sure that is
what I ordered.

The Napa part came in a Moog box with K9500 label. The autozone store can't find it, that's why I asking if anyone has another part number for it.

Well, I had my 'wrench' order it with some other stuff but I heard him order it - he just said Moog K9500. Got the right one.

I think you need try other sources.

A quick google search turned up this posting on
http://www.off-road.com/nissan/mods/pathfinder/1/

The Moog Idler arm can be purchased through many auto parts stores, or at www.wrenchead.com (Last I looked, it was part# K9500 and was 59.94 + S&H)

The search also showed this site
http://www.bestautopartsonline.com/Chassie.htm

And others I did not check out.

That almost looks like someone bought the Moog arm before you, and swapped a Nissan factory idler arm into the box and returned it.

But the sticker says Made in Japan, which the Moog is not, and there is a Zerk fitting, and a boss to drill and install it.

Very odd. My NAPA guy looked up K9500 and produced the correct part just a few months ago. The box has NASCAR images on it.

I have seen the same part in a Moog box in two different stores.
If anyone still has their receipt, can you please tell me the Napa or Autozone part No.

Thanks

Aussie, I ordered the Moog K9500 from Carparts.com and got the one like FSR's.
The problem with autozone/napa is the datbase they use. The database says "Moog", but it's actually manufactured by "Beck-Arnley" (sp?).

I went throught he same thing you're going through with about 4 local autoparts stores. The only thing they seemed to stock was the one designed just like the OEM made by beck-arnley, but when they checked the database they listed moog as the supplier. The good news about buying the beck arnley is "Autozone lifetime warranty"... Just take it off and take it back, no questions asked. Problem is, that gets old quickly since the design is of such a weak nature.

Basically the napa/autozone/pep boys database infers "moog or equivalent". Most definately the part you have is not Moog equipment though. Most likely they list k9500 as the part number since that is the industry standard part number and this is a cheap imitation or something along those lines.

Be sure to do a search for "carparts.com coupons" before ordering.

Note: I had to search the carparts.com for a 95 pathy to find "The Real Moog" MOO K9500

Here's a couple of links to help you out:
Here's a coupon link
http://www.dailyedeals.com/free_online_coupons/carparts.htm

And here's the difference between what you bought (Beck-Arnley or copy of) and the Moog:
http://www.carparts.com/parts/component.asp?SegmentId=1&itemid=32803&parttypeid=27014&reflink=0-0-0-0-0

Order the Moog one, It's the one you're looking for. Trust me.
