How can I disable the security system on my '95 E-150, factory installed. I camp in it, and if you want to get out during night in campgrouns, horn honks and lights flash, disturbing campground. I've unhooked horns, which hepls, but then can't ever use it, and lights still flash. It's hooked into ign. system, etc., and when triggered, you can't even start engine for a few minutes. And if removing a fuse or two, many other things won't work either. Thanks

you could lock the vehicle by manually pushing the lock knob; the alarm only arms with an electrical input of lock switch or remote; or you could ground a wire to a disarm switch- each door lock cylinder has a disarm switch

Thanks for the reply. Does grounding a wire to the disarm switch affect anything else, or create a battery drain? I haven't looked at one yet, but which wire to ground, and ground it to door metal?

probably easiest to pull door panel from RR door. the two wires attached to switch on the lock cylinder. short these two wires together. this is just ground signal to module-should cause no other concerns

By RR door, do you mean the side door? There is only L&R front (driver and passenger), side doors on right side, and rear doors way in back. They are all locked and unlocked with the remote, or lock switch. :screwy: Thank you
