just bought 88 2.8 liter 5 speed and the fuel lines and tank has sand and gunk in them i need to know how hard it would be to change the tank and lines. i will eventually put a 350 in it but i cant right now cause i dont have a 5 or 6 speed trannie to match up with my 350. it has about 380 hp acorrding to desktop dyno. how much power will the factory 5 speed in the v6 handle if adapted for awhile until i find a stronger one Autofreefindersguy 02-01-2005, 09:41 AM I doubt the V6 tranny would hold up at all to the torque of a 350... As far as the tank goes, I have never did that job but its a good idea to replace the fuel pump while your doing that change... Good luck/skill!
