I have a 84 manual top and the cab brackets off about an 88 vintage car. I having problems on the exact positioning of bracket before welding in. thanks Tom glenncof 02-17-2005, 01:57 PM I have a 1985 Cab. It is about 800 pounds heavier than standard Carrera. My understanding is this is result of stiffening required to prevent body flex. FYI 930guy 02-27-2005, 08:32 PM The last thread is exactly right. Once you remove the targa frame you loose too much rigidity. The one customer we had, had to instal a custom made roll cage because the body work kept cracking in the door sills and the doors stopped closing correctly. My understanding is that the rockers on a cab are much heavier than any other models. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
