i have a 1987 camaro iroc z28 350tpi i ran out gas in my drive way im getting enough pressure at the rails when turn key then slowly drops pressure to like 28. i think thats alright i put a new fuel filter on and added fuel injector cleaner and am getting spark.

28PSI sounds low to me.. Could have overheated the FP?

i took the fuel feed line off and it is getting good fuel pumping out.

Wild guess/idea. You ran out of gas ..or... the crud that collects on the bottom of your tank was sucked up since the gas was so low. Clogging fuel lines. Makes sense imo. may not be the case but its my 0.02$

would taking off my fuel feed line to my rails and blowing air from my compressor in rail tear up injectors of fuel pressure regulator?

would i clean out the crud?
would i still be getting likt 40 sum on fuel pressure if the pump got damage or hot?
