I have a 95 camaro with an Lt1 and auto tranny, totally stock. I have about 800 bucks to blow on it. Any Ideas what I should do first? Looking for power... Id like exhuast, but open to suggestions.

headers, hi-flow cat, 3" cat-back, cam, manifold, throttle body, those might fit within that budget.

what suggestions do you have for sizes and brands of cam shafts? I dont want anything too radical. This is a daily driver. But I do want it to be a bas-ass daily driver. Is the LT1 a hydraulic or machanical cam? (probably a dumb question, but might as well ask while I'm on the subj.)

If you call one of the major cam companies, they can give you what you need, you just tell them what you want.

I wouldn't bother with a cam just yet. If your looking for bang for the buck mods to make. Say 3.73 gears, Long Tube , or Mid headers.CAI and PCM tune. You will be super pleased with the gains. Also don't forget the freebie mods such as IAT relocator and TB bypass. Good Luck. Also I already have a custom tune set program set up for 94-95 LT1 with 3.73's and headers. So I can save ya about 60 bucks if ya like. Almost forgot Hypertech 160 degree stat, which my pcm program is set up for.

I agree with Formual, you dont need a cam until you get intake and exhaust parts. Sure swapping the stock cam to a more agressive will give you a couple hp but its when you have intake and exhaust that there is a big diffrence. Cams deal with the intake and exhast valves so change to a cai and high flow headers, high flow cat, and 3"piping all the way back then get a cam.

Have you guys heard of the Delteq opti-spark swap? If so, how useful do you think it would be? I'm just wondering b/c I've heard so many opti spark horror stories and mine is sitting at 112,000mi.

If you read this page from the forum will get my opinion on those ignitions but DVS is also a well respected LT1 guru so its all up to you. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=339756&page=3

Yeah, it kind of seemed too good to be true. Kind of expensive, too. BTW, thats a funny ass thread.
