broken passenger seat help

the passenger seat in my 98 taco xtracab is messed up--it will not automatically spring forward when the lever(s) are pressed to allow someone to get into the back seat. likewise the lever on the front of the seat doesn't work, and you can't slide the seat back. something came apart--

looking under there, i have a very thin metal rod which is unattached, but I'm unsure what I need to attach it to or if I'm missing more parts. I found a small spring laying out under the seat too, I figure that's part of it. it's not the same configuration as the driver's side seat, which DOESN'T automatically move forward when the lever is pressed (the seat back moves but not the seat itself).

if anyone has an xtracab around this year, i was wondering if anyone could take a digital camera and snap a picture of the underside of the passenger seat so i'd know what's missing and/or how it's supposed to fit together... specifically a picture of the rod and how it connects to whatever part it connects to down there.

thx

I have a 2004 and I removed the seat to take some photos. There is a round spring wire that connects the outside rail to the inside rail. It is secured in the outside rail by a small spring. As I say I have some photos so if you think they may help post your email or some place where I can send them to you.
