We bought our Grand Cherokee (1993 V8) at 200,000 miles 3 years ago. Got a great deal due to mileage. We now have over 315,000 miles on it and have only put about $1500 into it for various typical work. As far as the records show the motor and tranny have never been replaced or worked on internally. Has anyone here had similar luck or know when we can expect bigger problems to arise?

I got a 93 from a son-in-law last Oct.He bought it new and the valve cover has never been off. I just turned 239,000 this A.M.Except for the paint it looks almost new.

as long as you keep up with regualr scheduled maintence (Oil/Filter, Tranny Fluid/Filter, Coolant flushes, and etc.) you shouldn't ever have to worry about it.

my 94 w/ 5.2L has 194,000 miles on it, I replaced the engine about 3000 miles ago -0 due to a huge overheating problem. I don't know how long it was overheating before I got it, but it lasted about 7 months.
