Can't find oil leak...HELP PLEASE!!!Chud298 01-31-2005, 08:24 AM I have a 1998 Neon R/T. Last summer I had a very small oil leak which I thought I fixed with the replacement of a new PCV valve. But now it's back and I have no clue where it could be. It's a very small leak and it's taken about 2700 miles for all the oil to be completely gone. If you can help me in any way...please do. TorinoGT69 01-31-2005, 08:59 AM Check the back side of the motor, these cars are bad about the head gaskets leaking oil. I think I've tried everything, and I know it's not blowing past the rings becasue I'm not blowing any smoke out the pipes. Jasin18 02-02-2005, 12:15 AM my problem was a valve cover gasket. and you say blow smoke? i got a oil change, and a new gasket, and i dont see oil leeking, but it still blows smoke out the tail pipe, i put some smoke away, but some is still blowing, can anyone help with this? That might help thanks. I said it wasn't blowing out the back but in your case if it is it's your piston rings. They're worn out so oil is getting by them and going through your exhaust. justnotthatpunk 02-04-2005, 04:05 AM I have also heard that the cam sensor seal gasket can cause a small oil leak. You may want to check around the cam sensor for juicy oil spots. It's a real easy and cheap fix. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
