oooh in initial they have a crew called the emperors. and its made up of nothing but lancer evo's. and they can drift their cars at will. sooo you can make these cars go sideways. i've seen it done in real life too.

yea just do it as if its fwd, although you wont be able to do it as good as rwd cars if you lose control it shouldnt be so hard to power out of it with awd, find a nice open space, turn, lift the handbrake,(ride the clutch?), and steer, line up and put the handbrake down and accelerate, dunno if this is right... is it?

With awd it is possible to drift , but i needs lots of power if you want to do it right... And about drifting techniques you can find them on the net , my favourite is a parallel drift with two or three porches (yeah we tried that... :smoka: ) , man , we were going nowhere as close as on the movie but still it was scary as hell... :flash:

i saw a clip of a FC vs. a R33 GTR down a mountain at night. they were parallel drifting really close to each other. sooo close where the smoke from the tires on the GTR is blockin the view of the FC. it was pretty cool. too bad they never showed the whole race. only like 5 minutes of it. the guy in the FC was nice~~~ you see him whip the steering wheel from counter steer back to normal position with one hand with ease just like how Takumi does it. and you see him scratchin his face while racing!!! the GTR obviously pulls away hard on teh straights but on ever corner the FC gains on him.

I have also seen it , many pepole seen it already... Yeah that was scary , its a pity that is such low quality and its not the whole thing

on the way to the lake this weekend (saturday night)... we passed some pretty tite drifting roads... too bad it's so dark (no post lights) and you really can't see any of the corners when you drift.

Also, since we're in the middle of the desert when you slide off the road you don't hit a guardrail instead you fall off to a ditch. :o

When we were in Italy for snowboarding this february then i learned drifting the most , because we could practice without any limits , and the roads were steep with many hairpins (typical mountain roads) , but the best thing is that they were closed from 21 to 6 in the morning because of some risk of stone avalanches going down in the lower areas , so nobody went to a road with a dead end because it had no purpose at all , and there was no risk of other vehicles going up the mountain at this time... guess what ... :devil: ... We were giving it a full go as there was no risk meeting other cars , so after a day snowboarding (lifts closing at around 16.30) we were going back to the hotel , eating some dinner thing , going to a swimming pool , then at 20 we started preparing the cars , checking the tires , oil levels etc. then around 21 we were going to the point where no cars will go at the time , and from that point to the barricades it was 9 hairpins , some other lighter corners etc. We only were communicating through FSR motorola radios to make sure guys one going uphill and the other going downhill won't meet at full speed :cool: ... After practice throught 2 or 3 days we started doing little "events" like uphill and downhill time atacks , at some days when we saw anyone in a nice sports car we asked them if they want to have a little fun etc. and actually many pepole came just to watch... It was cool just like in the movie... Btw do you preffer going uphill or downhill? I preffer uphill because downhill is too scary and heavier cars don't stand a chance there...

So I end up doing it on the street, its not cool though cuz I feel like I might hurt someone ya know? i plan on going to the track a ton this summer and getting it down. After I move to cali i plan on spending tons 'o time up in the mountains. Downhill sound better, for my car anyway, just would be faster.

You read the comics too? Cool, what is your favorite battle?? I dont have the entire series only like 1,2,3, 10, 13,18, and 21. My favorite is when takumi battles that dude in the EK civic in #18 (I think its 18 or 21, I dont remember) and they duck tape Takumi's hand to the steering wheel, and even with that and a spin, he beats the EK (and the EK get all messed up). I love that, i wanna race with my hand taped to the wheel:D

Nah my S8 sits in the shop right now , it has mods done (and been like that for around a month or more now...) I was driving my friend's E36 M3 (we went in that car to italy) , and my other friend's A6 Avant 2.7 Biturbo chipped to some serious power (he claims 380 or so hp , but it's a tiptronic:( , not manual , but fun anyway) I also driven once the fastest car in there , the guy that was some kind of manager of the ski lifts had a lancia delta integrale and he did know the roads really good , he beat the hell out of us on both uphill and downhill , but he's car is quite small , 4WD , turbo , and it had a very stiff suspension setup... A really nice guy btw.

About the stickers , you can upload your designs and then the whole crew will judge what we like the best and we'll think about it...

My fav battle was Takumi's 20V Trueno vs the Turbo Levin. Its so cool how the Levin almost loses control coming out of corners....and you gonna love it when his turbo kicks in!

We weren't actually racing with him anyway , because after the first few corners i won't see him again... It's just about the suspension , i think that i might stand a chance with my porsche , but those cars (M3 and A6) have almost stock suspensions (the M3 has strut brace and springs , the A6 with shocks and springs changed) so they can be driven daily and also on long trips...

this guy driving the Subaru loves the 911 its his dream car so he didn't push the subaru and the porsche was his friends that had just bought it

anyway they drove down some english country road the subaru was taking the corners with easy he wasn't even trying he was wondering about the porsche he was behind him. He didn't want to try to hard because he didn't want to make his friend feel bad.

anyway they stopped the porsche driver got out and threw his keys at the ground he was soo pissed

he was battling like a mother fucker to keep up and he had only just bought his new porsche 911 the other guy driving the subaru impreza STi 22B was amazed he didn't think it would be that much better but hey rally cars are designed to take those corners

the ultimate drift car isn't a lanevo either

its the outlawed group B rally cars they had stupid amounts of power

audi came up with a 1000hp version of their quattro but then they banned group B's

i'd get a Ford RS200 search for it its small and is a raving psycho at corners and so is the lancia stratos

Well, there are more new charaters that appear after 3rd stage
I only remember some of them.
Kyoko: Black RX7 FD.
Nobuhiko: Silver? Altezza
Ninomiya: Yellow Civic Type R EK9
Sakai: Yellow Integra Type R DC2
And there's few other guys. One with a Spoon EK9, who's a race driver. A R34 25GT, and a Roadstar (Miata) AWW, just read the comic!
Bunta buys are Impreza in issue 22 of the comic, so that counts.

i found out that for me to import initial D and buy it, it will cost $50(~$27US) per video, so i might try and find the comics or whatever to see what its like.

fuck this im gonna get a 180 instead. i cant see myself looking at that interior for the next 3 years, but if i crash a 180 it wont be too good, and having 2 nissans with the same engine is abit boring(planning on getting a silvia s15 in 3 years), decisions decisions

what other good drift cars are there, prefebly not nissan and in the price range of a 180 (AU$12,000 or under) and not a rotor

i was at the local hangout around here with my friend waiting for our rides (im only 15 so...yea....) and we see a bunch of cars......we take a closet look and they were all Pieces of shit!.....i don't wanna say anything since i don't drive anything but, man......they all had those gt style aluminum wings and there was this pos mkIII with red neons.......that was gross ...... anyways
the best car there was a s14 style 240sx.........it was red w/ a bodykit i can't name, a carbon fiber hood, etc.......and we were all checking it out when this girl comes out, jumps in the car and drives away!......we were in shock especially when she boned out, you could hear the fuckin blowoff valve......i never heard a sr20det before, but this might be it.....it could be a turbo ka24, but whatever........that was tight

Oh by the way, NSX-R-SSJ20K; I was cleaning my room and found something that might interest you, among others I found a silvia book that I picked up when i was in Japan from a Nissan Red Stage. Its just all the info about the Silvia and all the trim levels that you can order, kinda like you get here at a car dealer.

I also found a R34 book and a NSX book, but I think I am going to keep them 'cuz they are both hardcovers.

OOPS!! sorry man. I have a few Carbon Fiber sheets myself that I'm putting on some ITR and the Sprinter:D And those one that Fujimi makes that comes with the CF hoods, DON'T BUY THOSE, the Carbon Fiber on it are really crappy!

Hey NB8CT, im not trying to be one eather, I just wanted you to know I have watched 1st and 2nd stage but they were in a language i didnt understand. I get the main jest other everything, i just don't kno names. The only name that i think I caught (don't attack me if im wrong) was Shouji Shingo(?) or sumthing an i think he was in an Civic EG6(?) but im not sure. So yah. Wats the deal with Project D? My friend was kind enough to lend me the Manga and I don't read/speak Japanese. Can some one fill me in on wat it is? I was givin a breif explination by my friend and it was about Takumi and one of the Takashi borthers making a racing team. Can someone help me out. Thx

carbon hood? nah its a movie he races the black evo :D and some other peps not bad the series is better it contradicts itself in this movie at least somewhat it still makes sense tho

Perhaps we have different definitions of rice. I view rice as the cosmetic attempt to make an otherwise stock car look like a fast tuner car.

My friend views using a 1.8L Turbo motor rice. He was offended at my notion of "ricing" my 924 by putting a smaller than stock motor in it.

as for a 1.8l motor being rice :bloated:

the reason i like 4cylinders is because to me the cars look nicer, they handle better, and another important thing in an engine is its strength, thats why i like the sr20det, its stronger than most engines, and i wanna beat all the v6s and v8s with my "rice/economy engine"

The spoon comment was from a ricer I knew, who commented about how he owned a Honda that was manufactured in the US. As such, "he ate rice with spoon"

I greatly admire Japanese tuner cars. There are none in my town, however. Instead, my town is rife with rice. There is a completely kitted out Erebuni Honda Civic, which is the essence of rice. There is not a bit of performance work done, unless you count low pros and a drop, and he thinks he has a fast car.

An SR20DET is far from rice, it is a legitimate performance powerplant, every bit as much as a 944 Turbo motor is.

My condolences Bean, I know the pains of losing a cat. Mine went to the great kitty litter box in the sky a few months ago, and I had that cat since I was a baby.

There are always some 6 cylinders for NSX , like 800+ wheel hp porsche turbos or somethnig like a bmw 535i Twin turbo with like 700 hp on wheels , you'll find someone to play with

theres 2 pros and cons of using each engine.

i could imagine a 800hp 4cyinder engine would be very ruff and un-refined because its being pushed to its limits.

but putting a 6cylinder engine in a silvia would upset the weight balance of the car, the s15 and 180sx are known to have great balance and thats why there argubly the best cars to drift with.

as for why i dont want a 6 or 8 cylinder car, is cause its not in my price range or it doesnt apeal to me, if i wanted a 6 cylinder car, i would probly get a skyline wich i cant afford at the moment and there too big, i dont like big cars, they feel too bulky and they usually sacrifice style, and handling, also theres alot more 4cyl cars to choose from than 6s and 8s.

in hard tuned imports 2 afew supras had there engines replaced with 4cylinders, and these where really done up supras, one was a professional racing one that was up against skylines and other supras on a race track(i think the engine was for weight reasons, cause the car was fully weight reducted), the other supra was a street car with metalic paint, clear coat, mesh and other stuff, it was like the ones you would see at a car show, and the engine was worked including a respray of the engine bay and chrome, this was probly one of the best looking supras i had seen.

The Supras that Toyota sent to Lemans had 4 cylinders. They only made 600+ hp.

I see a lot of HP figures, but that's only half your powerband. What about torque? A 2 liter engine making 500 hp is not going to make half as much torque as a 6 liter engine making 700hp.

I'd rather go with the 3.0L Porsche 968 motor, making 500hp, and 450 ft lbs.

I think also that a 968 is a better car to drift in, because the suspension is a bit better. That's just my opinion though

i got a video of a top secret's Silvia SR20DET powered which has 800hp its been done! :bandit:
