question on the usual.jcsaleen 01-29-2005, 08:44 PM I know motorex is the only one now but were there ever any other R.I's before motorex or was it always just motorex? ZedEx 01-29-2005, 09:09 PM There are hundreds of RI's... Anyone can become an RI... But its kind of pointless unless you are planning to do something with it. MotoRex is the only legalizing RI for Skylines... RB Motoring is also another RI, I'll try and dig up the complete RI list... -Wes jmrev 01-29-2005, 10:21 PM the real Q is: who else can comply them? nismo_power 01-30-2005, 01:32 AM the real Q is: who else can comply them? agreed. motorex was the only one out of the list of registered RI's that could legalize skylines. any RI could get them, but the cars had to go through motorex to get them legalized. and from motorex's recent financial desicions has left them unable to really get any work done. from what i last heard, Sean is still working with RB to get their petition to go through, but when its all finalized and if its even ok'ed is anyones guess. nitrous36 01-30-2005, 02:02 AM I wish there was away we could help. GTES-t 01-30-2005, 06:31 AM I'll try and dig up the complete RI list... Here's the link: NHTSA RI list (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/web_RI_list07142004.html) the real Q is: who else can comply them? Any RI on that list with the RI business codes: 2. Willing to process vehicles imported from other countries 3. Passenger Cars 10. Willing to petition for additional vehicle import eligibility determinations Before anyone jumps on that, know what it means FIRST! That means finding an RI that has those codes listed and is willing to deal with the hassle of bringing a few Skylines in, converting the, crash testing them, and making a petition for them to import the Skyline. In other words, they have to start from scratch on the import process for them to get legalization ability. Which would cost a LOT more then what Motorex ever charged and take a LOT longer. RB Motoring is the only really possibility because they have/are getting all the information from Motorex that they won't share with anyone else. This avoids crash testing/new petitions, etc. They would just continue where Motorex left off. jmrev 02-01-2005, 02:41 PM takes money! jcsaleen 02-01-2005, 08:00 PM takes money! thats all thats need to get any car. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
