hello, i ma interested in adding available options to my truck. i have a 1998 s10 with no options. is it possible to add power locks, power windows and cruise control without swapping the complete wiring harness from a truck with all these options? will i have to purchase new doors? will i have to purchase a new steering column for the cruise contol add on? i am a certified porsche mechanic but i dont have access to gm manuals and wiring diagrams to find out.
thanks for your time.

I'm sure not a certified GM tech, but I do know that most newer domestic car's and trucks have all the wires installed right up to the doors, so if you know where there are a set of doors the right color, and everything for your truck... with everything on it's as easy as a door swap.

Cruise, I don't know about, but it can't be too hard. The hardest thing would be switching wires over in the steering columb, which can be a real pain.

if you want pdl pwr windows, stuff like that, as simple as overborad just said, go bone yard hunten for your year (98)and model colors, and switch the intereor door pannel part only, its easyer this way because then you keep your doors that faded at the same pace as the rest of the vehical and not faster or slower, cruse, you can get an aftermarket accesory for, and i would imagin that being easyer than tryen to switch reostats (the thing your blinker is on) and going through the colum... what options where you looken for? any thing spicific or just something not basic??
