lucas? products......what do u think about them? BlazinUP 01-27-2005, 10:48 PM
has anyone used any lucas...stuff? engine, trans, etc? OverBoardProject 01-28-2005, 02:58 AM I've used them, and never had a problem. They seem to do their job well, and I'd use them again if I had to... For me they work 2000% better then STP products movin2stereo 01-28-2005, 06:31 AM I can't say anything bad about them either.Good stuff. jsgold 01-28-2005, 05:44 PM Have not used their oil products but their transmission products work pretty well. Smoothed the shifting in my wifes old Neon and improved the old Buick I had as well. BlazerLT 01-30-2005, 06:35 PM GARBADGE GUYS! DON'T BUY THEM! PROVEN TO ADD AIR TO THE OIL OR FLUID WHICH IS HORRIBLE FOR LUBRICATION. Example: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/images/lucas/lucas.htm Causes air to be entrapped in the oil!! WARNING!!! xtrememeasures10 01-30-2005, 08:19 PM GARBADGE GUYS! DON'T BUY THEM! PROVEN TO ADD AIR TO THE OIL OR FLUID WHICH IS HORRIBLE FOR LUBRICATION. I run all Valvoline Products, what about yourself? movin2stereo 01-30-2005, 08:26 PM Wow.I wonder if the tranny additive does the same shit? BlazerLT 01-30-2005, 08:50 PM Yes, major foaming in the transmission too. movin2stereo 01-30-2005, 08:54 PM That's what I have in my tranny now and it doesn't work right anymore.Remember my post? BlazerLT 01-30-2005, 09:06 PM Yip, could be because of the foaming. dmbrisket 51 01-31-2005, 06:43 PM i dont know, that was extreamly convincing, but, my 98 use to lock up in the rear end, my machanic told me to chang the pig fluid b4 i went any farther, i used some advanced (advanced auto parts) brand fluid, one full bottle, and about half a bottle of the lucas (what he told me to use), and i havnt had a problem sence, so, should i now re-change the fluid in the back end to not include the lucas product? BlazerLT 01-31-2005, 09:23 PM Yip, I would. Go with pure synthetic. 75w90. No extra additives will be needed. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
