Help me with these acronyms.Gateway 01-27-2005, 06:41 PM WOT BPU DSM I think WOT is wide open throttle? BPU I understand the concept, but don't know exactly what it means DSM I know it's like an eagle talon, etc etc, but don't know exactly what it means. crazy_quick 01-27-2005, 06:45 PM I dont know what wot means dsm= dimond star motors bpu= basic proformance upgrades Igovert500 01-27-2005, 06:59 PM WOT = wide open throttle..pedal to the floor DSM = Diamond Star motors, basically the earlier eclipses, talons, lasers...they were made in a joint project between Mitsu and Chrysler, also the Galant vr4 is considered one too by some...but not the 3000gt or stealth. I'm sure someone can give you a more detailed history of it all, if you want. BPU= basic power/performance upgrades, typically intake/headers(downpipe)/exhaust, boost controller for turbo cars...essentially the cheap common upgrades that most go for that offer more power without costing too much or causing reliability to suffer. Gateway 01-27-2005, 07:17 PM funny how 3000gt's aren't considered DSM because the logo on the front is a diamond star :) anyways thanks for the input. mike93vr4 01-27-2005, 07:31 PM dsm were built in the us 3k were not youngvr4 01-27-2005, 07:52 PM funny how 3000gt's aren't considered DSM because the logo on the front is a diamond star :) anyways thanks for the input. http://www.turboclub.com/makes/dsm/dsmlogo.gif if built in normal,Il then its considered dsm Hotshot8792 01-27-2005, 08:07 PM funny how 3000gt's aren't considered DSM because the logo on the front is a diamond star :) anyways thanks for the input. the logo on the front is a triple diamond, not a diamond star, a star has 5 points, the mitsubishi logo has 3. Chrysler represents star. k3smostwanted 01-28-2005, 04:03 AM if built in normal,Il then its considered dsm well hell, i drove through there a few weeks back. when i was driving through i happened to see a black GSX that caught my eye...how ironic!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
