Hey guys i know you prolly dont wanna hear from a mustang guy but i was wondering if a 86 911 powertrain would be a some what reasonable swap into a 86 jetta. I know the shift linkage would prolly have to be extended and i need some advice on how difficult this would be to complete. I am a mechanic, but imm also still in school so i need to keep this under a reasonable budget.
THanks yall

If you had the right amount of money it would be possible, but they're two completly different engine set ups, ones an inline and the porsche is a boxer engine, so NO with a limited budget it would not be possible.

Try and find a 911 engine that runs for under $3500!
