intense recently lowered their price to $99 for the standard pcm. i think i'm going to get one so i had a couple questions first. they have the option for the removal of varioius dtc's. i probably sound stupid for asking but what are dtc' (specifically egr and evap) and why would you need them deleted? i assume the o2 dtc removes the nead for a rear o2 simulator.

You are correct!

Some people have them removed to counter repeated setting of DTCs from 160* thermostats, and headers not set up to accomodate EGR system, and for removal of the secondary O2 sensor.

Your average modder doesn't need to have this done.

I have the standard Intense PCM, just got it a month or so ago. I like it a lot, although water is getting into engine bay thorugh fenderwell and misalaigned quarterpanel and leaking right onto the PCM... shouldn't hurt it tho... wires are protected

I have heard only positive comments about the Intense and negative about the DHP. It makes you wonder why such a price difference.
