intense pcm bcreverend 01-24-2005, 10:40 PM
intense recently lowered their price to $99 for the standard pcm. i think i'm going to get one so i had a couple questions first. they have the option for the removal of varioius dtc's. i probably sound stupid for asking but what are dtc' (specifically egr and evap) and why would you need them deleted? i assume the o2 dtc removes the nead for a rear o2 simulator. carnutcass 01-25-2005, 12:20 AM You are correct! Some people have them removed to counter repeated setting of DTCs from 160* thermostats, and headers not set up to accomodate EGR system, and for removal of the secondary O2 sensor. Your average modder doesn't need to have this done. GPGTKT 02-01-2005, 04:34 PM Sent PM carnutcass 02-01-2005, 05:07 PM Sent PM To whom? I like it a lot, although water is getting into engine bay thorugh fenderwell and misalaigned quarterpanel and leaking right onto the PCM... shouldn't hurt it tho... wires are protected bcreverend 02-02-2005, 04:13 PM yea, at least thats not a direct result of the pcm though...gpgtkt though was telling about problems with her boyfriends car due to having increased timming. he had the timetables put on though from what i understand. anyone else had any trouble the intense pcm? GTX Playa 02-02-2005, 04:20 PM I have heard only positive comments about the Intense and negative about the DHP. It makes you wonder why such a price difference.
