Hey everyone. I have been reading through the forum, and haven't found an answer that fits, so i thought i would just ask. I have a 1999 Chevy S=10 2.2L. It has recently (since the cold weather) started having issues starting. THe battery and cables are both good. I have replaced the spark plugs. I have sent it to a mechanic, and the only error code found was that the plug wire on the second cylinder was not attached properly. I knew about that problem, and took care of it. I replaced the plug wires in the process. The mechanic also ran a pressure check on the fuel pump, and he said it is fine.

Long story short, the mechanic could not find any problems. He started it just fine several times.

A little more history on the problem... Sometimes the truck will start fine. Sometimes it won't start without starting fluid. One day it will start just fine, the next morning it won't crank all the way. The starter tried to turn, but just doesn't sound like it has the power to spin fast enough to fire.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am very limited on funds (college student) and need my truck to get to and form school and work. Thanks!

Well i didn't get any replies, but i found the problem. The plug wires i bought and replaced about a month before the problem started, were apparently bad out of the box. Replaced them and all is well.
