If I start to accelerate really, really, slowly, it will accelerate/rev up. Otherwise it just dies. Someone suggested it has a bad Mass Airflow Sensor/Air Mass Meter. Is this accurate? How can I test the sensor? Thanx. 5gcivic 01-26-2005, 12:00 AM Car starts right up, idles great, but as soon as I press the gas, car dies immediately. Get a voltmeter and check all of these to make sure it is working right, make sure that you open the flapper door while you are testing the reference. speeddemontbn7 11-03-2006, 12:15 AM It almost sounds like a fuel pressure regulator to me.
