Died.FirstCar 01-24-2005, 12:09 PM I was driving on the highway the other night and I heard a loud screeching noise coming from my car. I slowed down to pull over and it did the same noise, rumbled, and died. I tried starting it, and it ran for about 30 seconds, and did the same thing. It did this about 4 times. I let it sit for about 2 minutes while I called my dad, and I tried starting it back up a final time. To my surprise, it started, and did fine on the way home, and I haven't had any problems since that night.[it was about 2 days ago] I am worried that this could happen again, and I want to get it fixed to prevent it. My question is if anyone knows what could be causing this? I was thinking maybe it was a belt or something, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. joe92k1500 01-24-2005, 03:57 PM What year is your car, and type of motor (SOHC or DOHC) It will say on the top of the motor.
