klze info pleasefakegold 01-23-2005, 06:42 AM I just found a 93 probe, dont know if its an se or gt but its sweet stock engine bay with plenty of exterior upgrades. senei body kit, powde blue metallic paint job, 16 inch white rims, tinted windows, and 4 inch sports drop. Its nice, Im gonna get it for 3500 but I was wondering about the KLZE swap and the difficulty of it, I heard it was pretty easy for the gt but what if its an se. and where would I get one from? a1waytrip 01-23-2005, 01:29 PM it is a real pain to do the klze swap in an se, it can be done, but it is going to cost you a ton of money. ok, to tell if it is a gt or an se, look in the engine bay, look for spark plug wires, if there is 3 in the front and three in the back, then it is a gt, if there is 4 in a row, then it is a se. i would only go for a gt if i were you, becauase a body kit plus paint will only cost you like 800. especially for the sensei body kit, look on ebay and you will see how much they cost. any way, good luck with buying a probe, i would go for a gt, try and find one for 2 thousand, (i got mine for 1600) and then use that 1,500 you saved and get a body kit on it, and get it painted. -tom Ghostcloak 01-23-2005, 11:56 PM it is a real pain to do the klze swap in an se, it can be done, but it is going to cost you a ton of money.... -tom Um... when you mean ton of money.. do you mean to estimate about $4,000 for the engine and the swap/installation... or are you talkin higher... (like $5,000+)... What would YOU suggest to put in an SE? a1waytrip 01-24-2005, 05:00 PM dude, get the gt, because the klze swap will cost you around 1500. but make sure you get the j-spec ecu and myswell get the tranny new too. all together it will cost you (in a gt) around $2500 (rough estamite) with instalation. you know what you gotta do, find a probe that has a blown engine (that is a gt) and do the swap. don't go buy a perfectly good gt, then just junk the old motor, cause it will be a waste of money. if you really want to put the klze in a se, go ahead and do it, im thinking it will be around 5k. but you are not going to have everything the gt's do, like power seats and shit. but do what ever you want, but you are looking at spending less money if you do it my way, but if you have got a ton of money to waste, BE MY GUEST! -tom a1waytrip 01-24-2005, 05:02 PM oh yea, there is a se swap too, im not sure how much power you would get out of it, because i havn't really looked into considering ive got the gt. but do your research there are plenty of probe web sites out there -tom Ghostcloak 01-24-2005, 10:22 PM Lol alright tom.. Actually... Besides the exterior.. my se has everything a gt does... I've got power seats/windows/locks, fog lamps, sun roof.. etc.. just bout every option available for the gt i've gotten in my se (Previous owner was one hardcore woman.. she s'posedly got the se when she wanted a gt, so she slowly modded it up) Only thing i don't have is the man. spoiler and wipper on the hatchback.. but i've got that ordered from a wrecker.. So basically all i've been wanting to do is upgrade the engine.. though i know its harder for an se :-/ Thanks tho tom.. your the man. -Steve'o NeonblueEclipse 01-28-2005, 12:06 AM Um... when you mean ton of money.. do you mean to estimate about $4,000 for the engine and the swap/installation... or are you talkin higher... I'd suggest to turbo the dammed car, and then save up for when you kill the I4 for the KLZE and then turbo that....but I'm boost biased sooo :2cents: there ya go Ghostcloak 01-28-2005, 01:28 AM I'd suggest to turbo the dammed car, and then save up for when you kill the I4 for the KLZE and then turbo that....but I'm boost biased sooo :2cents: there ya go Is a the 2.0L SE engine turbo-able? (boost noob... tryin to learn) If so.. what do you guys recommend and how much can i get outa it? Neon? any suggestions? zx2srdotnet 01-28-2005, 11:19 AM every motor is turbo-able, its just depends on how much boost, and how good the tuning is sLiPz 01-28-2005, 01:34 PM I saw a probe where the guy put twin turbo on the klze and it gave it upwards of 600 hp. That's what I'm planning to do with my 93 pgt. If you're engine is still good and you still wanna do the swap sell the engine off ebay or through the paper or sumthin. Brings down the price a little. Neon? any suggestions? if you turbo an NT engine, please o please put forged internals in it first, thuis will allow you to run boost without fear of it blowing ( as fast ) and will allow more boost to be run, also make sure tuning is correct, and an EMS will also definitly help you out, that should give you some reliablity on your turbo'd car Ghostcloak 01-29-2005, 02:54 AM I saw a probe where the guy put twin turbo on the klze and it gave it upwards of 600 hp. Well, from what i hear.. engine swappin is what i need to do to get it up to about 500-600 hp range. however for now, i'm just focused on getting 250-400hp. I don't want to switch out the engine (Current engine is Stock 2.0L DOHC 4-cyl) if i can achieve that horse power range. Is that a realistic dream for now? a1waytrip 01-29-2005, 01:54 PM hey neon, how do i go about getting forged internals for the klze? also, about how much is that going to cost me? thanks -tom shawnwilliams 02-28-2005, 05:43 PM U CAN GET THE KLZE 210 HP FOR 800US AT www.japandomesticmotor.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
