Goldlexus 01-23-2005, 12:01 PM ever since doing TSB for upper manifold in Nov. van running good but im burning ALOT!! of gas more than usual, CEL never came back on....what could be my problem? I have noticed the same thing. Had the TSB done in Oct. Van runs fine but it is gas hungery. wiswind 01-23-2005, 07:33 PM Did they reprogram the PCM? The reprogram retards the timing to correct pinging....caused by carbon buildup in the cylinders.....the carbon buildup being caused by the oil entering the intake maifold. Retarding the timing would cause a decrease in fuel economy....but I do not know how much. islandguy1969 01-23-2005, 11:07 PM Did they reprogram the PCM? Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to reprogram the PCM? rodeo02 01-24-2005, 12:28 AM I'm not sure where you guys are located, but are you sure the decrease in MPG's isn't due to winter blended gasolines? G/luck Joel Goldlexus 01-24-2005, 12:56 AM Thanks WIS....this means i will have to go to the dealer, for this one. Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to reprogram the PCM? PCM has been reprogramed on my windstar. The dealer did it for $80.00. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
